Tabletop RPG Review: Merchants of the Multiverse

From the folks behind Mysteries of the Multiverse comes Merchants of the Multiverse, a collection of strange artifacts and stranger characters for use in your Mutant Crawl Classics game.  There is definitely a sense of humor on display here.  MCC is a game that likely won’t be too serious at your table, so why not have a “cool camel” with a fez and sunglasses for your characters to interact with?

Like many of the zines I’ve found for Dungeon Crawl Classics and Mutant Crawl Classics, this is a bit of a potpourri.  NPCs, items, adventure seeds, missions, and monsters.  There’s even a level 1-2 adventure.  It may not all be useful.  You may only want to bring a smattering of things from this book into your game.  Your mileage may vary.

At only forty pages, there’s not a lot of room to go into much depth on anything.  But an experienced judge/GM should have plenty to build on.  It’s material that’s likely meant for a more wacky, out there game.  I mean, MCC is already a wacky and out there game.  But this is some interdimensional shenanigans.  Stuff is going to get weird.

I’m proud to be an affiliate of DriveThru RPG. I’m an independent author. You can also read my fiction over on Amazon. A rating & review would make a world of difference. I now have an Amazon Wishlist.
