Comic Review: Rockstars: Vol. 1

Rockstars Vol 1

What if all the stories were true?  What if all the secrets and hidden meanings in lyrics and liner notes were part of a grand game?  Young Jackie Mayer has a gift for connecting the dots, and they’re creating a pretty dark picture.

This comic is a fun trip down musical memory lane.  It’s got conspiracy theory and mystical conflict wrapped up in the sights, sounds, and secrets of Rock & Roll.  I really enjoy the themes and mystery.  The art is colorful, but not a style I particularly like.  The panel layout is interesting without being confusing.

Where’s it all going?  I’m curious to find out.  This didn’t grab me as firmly as Fatale, but it tapped into a similar vibe that I respond to.
